A Polish made motocycle, produced by Zaklady Przemyslowe PODKOWA S.A. Legionowo in 1939, licenced by a british company called "The James Cycle Compamy". In between February and 1st September 1939 (first day of the World War 2) there was 130 motocycles made. Before that since 1921 the firm had been producing screw caulks for the horseshoe, optical lenses, screw taps and other tools. Podkowa 98 it was supposed to be a cheap, popular brand for low class workers, students etc.
The engine Villeirs Mark 9D Unit 98cc - made in Poland (Huta Ludwików, Kielce) license by "The Villiers Engineering Company Ltd."
